Manipulate data and add statistical charts to your research papers with resources from The Statistical Abstracts of the United States. This venerable government source of statistical data from the census bureau and additional government agencies was once available only in print or one long PDF file. Now available through ProQuest with keyword searching. All tables can be exported into Excel or viewed as individual PDF files.

Regarding your announcement “Statistical Abstracts with downloadable tables available,” the Census Bureau terminated its Statistical Abstract of the Unites States in 2012. See http://www.census.gov/compendia/statab/ . This new “Statistical Abstracts” you are featuring must be a private publication that has arisen to take its place.
FYI, the Census Bureau also provided Excel files online, just as this new service apparently does. The Census’s Statistical Abstract for 2012, with Excel files, is still online at the above URL.

Thank you for your comment, Bill. When the Census Bureau did stop producing Statistical Abstracts in 2011, Proquest took over responsibility for updating and releasing this publication. So this version gives you more up-to-date info, as well as more search options. More information about this can be found at http://statabs.proquest.com/sa/Content/pdf/HistoryOfStatAb.pdf
